Burmester High-End 3D Surround Soundsystem
Under the stylistically curved roof of the Mercedes-Benz CLS, the 23 loudspeakers of the Burmester High-End 3D Surround Sound System combined with 1,450 watts of system power provide a virtual headroom that dissolves the boundaries of the vehicle and gives the feeling of a concert lounge. The uncompromising concept of the Burmester system is based on the Mercedes-Benz E-Class.
With the combined expertise of Burmester and Mercedes-Benz, the unique 3D sound relies on intelligent algorithms and speakers in the vehicle’s headliner. In addition to the upwardly extended listening stage, the design placed great emphasis on a balanced tuning that combines precise localization and the finest detail reproduction for a relaxed “”feel-good”” sound. “

Burmester Surround Sound System
In an alternative to the Burmester High-End 3D Surround Sound System, Mercedes-Benz offers the Burmester Surround Sound System for the new CLS. With 13 speakers, front bass technology and a DSP amplifier with a total output power of 590 watts, even the smaller system pampers the ears with natural and substantial sound. The switchable surround function creates a well-dosed virtual omnidirectional sound in the four-door coupe to make mono or stereo recordings seem even more spatial. Of course, the Burmester Surround Sound System also reproduces true multi-channel sources. With the selectable listening positions, sound adjustment to the front, rear or all seats is possible.”
