MALIA, an American singer-songwriter from Los Angeles, California, recorded a vinyl master accompanied on bass by Evan Mathews and in front of a small live audience, she embarked on a unique venture: capturing the essence of her art with the recording of six songs directly onto record.

The recording took place on the living room stage in a Viennese Palazzo, where the audience had a direct emotional connection to MALIA. A subtle, authentic experience that resulted in a unique direct recording, with an essence of intimacy.

For MALIA, this was an extraordinary experience, as she recorded an entire album uncut, allowing the unfiltered resonance of every note in real-time. She describes it as an “incredible and unique experience,” particularly the listening session, where her songs played through the “impressive speakers” of Burmester, was pure excitement.
