Burmester High-End
3D Surround Sound System
With its 23 high-performance speakers and 1,450 watts of system power, the Burmester High-End 3D Surround Sound System in the E-Class reflects an unparalleled effort in this vehicle segment. It bundles the entire experience of both companies and enables true “”feel-good”” sound that literally dissolves the boundaries of the vehicle. The unique acoustic imaging is made possible by intelligent algorithms and loudspeakers in the vehicle’s headliner. The well-balanced tuning enables intensive but at the same time relaxed listening.This is due in no small part to the ring radiators, with their delicate, unobtrusively airy overtone reproduction.

Burmester surround sound system
The optionally available Burmester Surround Sound System for the Mercedes-Benz E-Class provides clear, crisp and balanced sound through 13 high-performance loudspeakers and a system output of 590 watts. To suit individual tastes, the switchable surround function generates a virtual surround sound from mono or stereo recordings for the feeling of sitting in a concert hall or music club. Of course, real multi-channel sources can also be played back via the Burmester Surround Sound System. In addition, sound can be adjusted to the front, rear or all seats.
