Mercedes-Benz
G-Class
In 1977 Dieter Burmester created the legendary Burmester 777
preamplifier, and only two years later Mercedes-Benz designed
something like the eternal off-roader with the G-Class. After
about four decades, the paths of the legendary off-roader and
the hi-fi gems from Berlin finally cross.

TECHNICAL DETAILS
Burmester Surround Soundsystem
The Burmester Surround Sound System, tailor-made for the Mercedes-Benz G-Class, consists of 15 loudspeakers and a 640 watts amplifier with Digital Sound Processing. Sophisticated 3-way systems with tweeters in the dashboard and a midrange and woofer in the front doors maintain the naturalness with any music direction, even at high levels, for which Burmester is appreciated by music lovers around the globe.
A 20 cm subwoofer with double voice coil in the trunk is responsible for the remarkably tight bass foundation. By individually adjusting the listening position, the Burmester Surround Sound System takes individual seat occupancy into account. The surround function can be switched on if desired for a wide-ranging three-dimensionality like in a concert hall.
