A new experience for the senses

Maybach customers for whom the motto “the best or nothing” also applies when listening to music can opt for the Burmester High-End 4D Surround Sound System, which made its debut in the new S-Class. With its 31 high-performance loudspeakers, eight additional exciters and a system output of 1,750 watts, it enables unprecedented listening pleasure with the fascination of now literally feeling sound. Thanks to the structure-borne sound transducers in the seats, the music experience is expanded and amplified, becoming a completely new experience for the senses.

As a visual highlight, not only the tweeters in the mirror triangle of the driver’s doors, but also their counterparts in the rear doors are given special prominence in the Mercedes-Maybach S-Class. They rotate 360° when the system is switched on, moving toward the passengers by means of a screwing motion. As a result, the tweeters are aligned for the optimum sound impression and at the same time refine the luxurious feel-good ambience.

The Burmester 3D Surround Sound System now also represents the entry into the world of fine sounds in the Mercedes-Maybach S-Class. With 16 speakers and 760 watts of system power, it offers immersive, 3-dimensional sound for a more intense experience of music. Both systems also allow for completely individual sound tuning via the personalization function, matching the exclusive character of the fine luxury sedan.
