Burmester 3D High-End Surround Sound System

Powered by 21 speakers and 21 power amplifier channels with a total output of 1,455 watts, the 3D audio system in the new Porsche Panamera drives to pole position. Like its predecessor, this system sets standards in its segment. Thanks to the Auro-Matic technology used, the spectacular Auro-3D® sound experience is possible from a mono, stereo or multichannel signal. In addition to this highlight, there are also significant improvements in the details of the transducers used.

The Burmester ribbon tweeters (Air Motion Transformer, AMT®) used exclusively in Porsche cars have been significantly improved. Their mass has been reduced and their efficiency increased. This enriches the sound in resolution and precision. Thanks to the new 2-way center speaker, there is a uniform, stable spatial imaging with maximum precision in the crucial vocal range. The exceptionally clear and direct sound impression is due in no small part to the use of rigid die-cast aluminum baskets for all midrange drivers. The new active subwoofer with 25 cm woofer, an enlarged cabinet of 27 liters and the drive of a 400 watts Class-D power amplifier provides an extremely controlled and level stable bass. With this amplification from Burmester, the Porsche Panamera generates goose bumps even when stationary.
